Formule 1 komt met update over duurzaamheidsplannen en nieuw logo

Het is al geruime tijd dat de Formule 1 in de toekomst wil overstappen naar duurzame brandstoffen. Dit moet in 2026 gebeuren maar vier jaar later volgt pas echt het grote ambitieuze doel van de sport. In 2030 wil men namelijk uitstootvrij door het leven gaan. Het plan is al eventjes bekend maar nu wil men dat duidelijker overbrengen.

Vanaf de Britse Grand Prix van aankomend weekend zal men er voor zorgen dat het doel duidelijk zichtbaar is in de pitlane en de paddock. Eveneens geeft de sport een update over hoe men er momenteel voorstaat in de weg naar het bereiken van hun grote doel. Zo maakt men de uitzendingen van de races op afstand om het aantal vluchten te verminderen, heeft men de vrachtcontainers onder handen genomen zodat ze in efficiëntere vliegtuigen passen en zorgt men voor herbruikbare energie op de kantoren.

Als duurzaam echt een issue was, dan zouden we niet van Monaco naar Azerbaijan, naar Canada en weer terug naar UK.

Als je een punt wilt maken dan optimaliseer je dat in de kalender.

En we zijn al van 16 naar nu 22 races gegaan, is ook wat lastiger voor je doelen.

    Hahaha, alsof ze dit echt menen om duurzaam te willen zijn.
    Gaan alleen maar mee met de publieke opinie en trend om de zogenaamde wereldverbeteraars uit te hangen.

    Het is gewoon marketing en dit wordt gebruikt om een product aan de man te brengen.

    Ze geven gewoon geen zier om het hele milieu gebeuren.

      Helemaal eens.
      Deze BS past prima in agenda 2030 van Ome Klaus.
      F1 is zo'n milieuvervuiling, lijkt me moeilijk om de footprint op het milieu te verkleinen, los van of dit nodig is.

      Ik ken geen sport, ook niet gemotoriseerd, die zoveel moeite doet om duurzaam te willen zijn. Ook worden er echt stappen gezet. 100% duurzame brandstof is een revolutie die nooit een gelijke heeft gehad. De Formule 1 en de brandstoffabrikanten zetten hierin een stap waarmee de mensheid generaties vooruit kan zonder afhankelijk te zijn van elektrische aandrijving.

      Het mag natuurlijk een perfect PR praatje lijken. Maar het is werkelijk wel meer dan dat.

    Tja, ik ben altijd benieuwd hoe dit soort dingen berekend en gemeten worden. Gaan ze net als bij een elektrische auto, elders energie opwekken en dan zeggen op locatie zijn we uitstootvrij. Of worden er tijdens een raceweekend zoveel bomen geplant dat je op Zondag geen auto meer ziet rijden ?
    Ik vind het een vaag gegoochel met cijfertjes op papier maar of de wereld er echt beter van wordt dat vrij ik me af.
