Magnussen trots op Schumacher: "Blij voor hem en het team"

Het team van Haas is bezig met een bijzonder sterk seizoen. De Amerikaanse renstal was vorig seizoen nog het lelijke eendje van het veld maar dit jaar verloopt alles iets beter. Er worden weer punten gescoord maar toch was er veel kritiek, Mick Schumacher reed namelijk best veel schade.

Tijdens de laatste twee races presteerde Schumacher juist zeer sterk. In Silverstone pakte de jonge Duitser zijn eerste punten en afgelopen weekend reed hij in Oostenrijk zijn sterkste race van het seizoen. Schumacher vocht enkele stevige duels uit en kwam als zesde over de streep. Tevens werd hij verkozen tot 'Driver of the day.'

Twee coureurs

Schumachers teamgenoot Kevin Magnussen eindigde eveneens in de punten. De Deen was zeer trots op het resultaat en deelde met de Duitse krant Bild eveneens zijn vreugde voor Schumacher: "Ik ben blij voor hem en het team. We staan nu zevende in het wereldkampioenschap en we willen het graag nog beter doen. Daarvoor hebben we twee coureurs nodig die in de punten kunnen finishen."

Helpen

Magnussen weet dat hij goed moet samenwerken met Schumacher voor het best mogelijke resultaat. De Deense coureur vocht in Oostenrijk duels uit met zijn teamgenoot: "Als hij sneller is, is er geen reden om hem te blokkeren. Ik ben hier om het team te helpen, niet om de wereldtitel te winnen. Ik bevind mij niet in die positie. Hopelijk op een dag wel maar ik ben een teamplayer en ik ben blij met een dubbele puntenfinish. Daarom zie je mij niet als een soort savage hem blokkeren."

Ben blij voor Haas en Gene. Ook Mick is opeens eindelijk in staat om te presteren en flink punten te scoren, dit heeft menig analist nogal verbaast deze plotse ommezwaai. Ook ik was kritisch op Mick tot 10 dagen geleden. Hopelijk kan Mick nu blijven shinen en een beetje richting zijn vaders prestaties gaan. Dan gaat Duitsland denk ik weer helemaal los op de F1, een nieuwe schumi-mania zie ik wel zitten.

Haas heeft met het aantrekken van Magnussen laten zien weer een raceteam te willen zijn. Kevin en Mick lijken goed met elkaar overweg te kunnen (wat wel anders was met Grosjean)

Het team nu al meer punten gescoord dan de afgelopen drie jaren bij elkaar. Dat Gene aanwezig was dit weekend laat zien dat hij er ook weer belangstelling in heeft. Volgens mij was die het afgelopen jaar nergens aanwezig.

Net nu ik wel een beetje klaar was met Mick het handje boven het hoofd te houden en hem aan WEC toe te wijzen begint die te laten zien dat hij geleerd heeft.

  Volgend mij kon Gene Haas de afgelopen jaren ,mede door Corona niet zomaar ff de VS verlaten,
  Maar dit terzijde
  Mick leuke jongen komt mss wel kort bij de “ideale” schoonzoon, maar zo glashard als Pa?? Op de baan Nee echt niet,

  Box box box@ ook daar ben ik t mee eens. Er moet wel heel wat geluk bij komen dat hij een auto krijgt die de resultaten van zijn oom uberhaupt kunnen spiegelen.
  
  Maar goed om te zien dat Schumacher nu eens bijdraagd om Haas potentieel naar P6 a P7 te krijgen ipv terug te zakken maar P9.

Ik geef t eerlijk toe ik ben Michael Schumacher fan, heb genoten van zijn Benetton en Ferrari tijd, los van de te harde acties om een wereld kampioenschap te winnen of te verdedigen maar dat maakt wie hij is

Ik kon ook niet geloven dat hij een comeback maakte bij Mercedes, en sta daar nu nog steeds niet achter, maar goed als het voor Michael goed voelde, wie ben ik om dat te bekritiseren

Ik gun Mick t beste, maar helaas hij gaat zijn vader niet evenaren, ben zelfs bang zijn oom niet

Toen Nick achter Kevin reed , werdt aan Magnussen van uit de pit gevraagd om even in te houden zodat Schumacher in de DRS kwam te zitten....gevolg Magnussen reed daar op de volgende paar rondes nog sneller.... Dit wil zeggen ja teut...bekijk het maar jongens.. .'(.je team maat verslaan is nog altijd het eerste doel he)
