Ferrari deelt meer informatie over test Shwartzman, bevestigt hem voor vrije trainingen

Gister deelde het team van Ferrari beelden van testcoureur Robert Shwartzman die testrondjes afwerkte op het circuit van Mugello. Het was geruime tijd wat stiller omtrent de jonge coureur maar gisteren keerde hij terug in de cockpit. Shwartzman is dit seizoen niet actief in een juniorenklasse en richt zich volledig op zijn werk bij Ferrari.

Gisteravond deelde Ferrari meer informatie over de testdag van Shwartzman. De coureur rijdt niet langer onder Russische vlag maar onder de vlag van zijn geboorteland Israël. Hierdoor heeft Shwartzman geen last van de beperkingen die de FIA heeft opgelegd voor Russische coureurs. Deze regels zijn ingesteld naar aanleiding van de oorlog in Oekraïne.

Ferrari maakte bekend dat Shwartzman in totaal 130 rondes afgelegde tijdens zijn testdag, dat is ongeveer 681 kilometer. De Israëlische coureur zat achter het stuur van de SF21, de auto van vorig seizoen. De teams mogen dit jaar testen in de auto van vorig seizoen omdat de technische reglementen enorm zijn veranderd. In het persbericht laat Ferrari eveneens doorschemeren dat Shwartzman dit jaar de rookie is voor de vrije trainingen.
