Rosberg ziet oude werkgever worstelen: "Misschien correlatieproblemen"

Mercedes nam voor de Franse Grand Prix updates mee om de aansluiting terug te vinden bij Red Bull en Ferrari. De achtvoudig constructeurskampioen kwam bedrogen uit. De Silberpfeilen van Lewis Hamilton en George Russell waren meer dan een seconde langzamer in de kwalificatie en het gat naar de top was zelfs groter dan normaal. Volgens oud Mercedes F1-coureur Nico Rosberg zit zijn oude werkgever in een lastig parket om de auto goed te doorgronden.

"Het lijkt een beetje een uitdaging daar voor Mercedes", vertelde de Duitser als analist aan Sky Sports F1. "Elke keer als ze denken 'oké, nu komen we echt dichtbij en dan brengen we een upgrade en dan zullen we vlakbij hen staan in dit weekend'."

Rosberg merkt op dat Mercedes steeds wordt teruggeworpen bij het zetten van een volgende stap om tijd te vinden. Nieuwe problemen komen onverwachts aan het licht De kampioen van 2016 heeft wel een verklaring voor dit fenomeen. "Het brengt wat vraagtekens met zich mee, of wat ze zien in de cijfers in de windtunnel, of dat echt wordt omgezet in de daadwerkelijke auto in een echte situatie op het circuit. Misschien hebben ze daar wat correlatieproblemen'', stelde Rosberg voor.

"Ik weet zeker dat er wat hoofdbrekens zal zijn, omdat de upgrades niet zo veel vooruit gang boeken als ze hadden gehoopt en zo veel als ze hadden verwacht."

Ja, worstelen dat zie ik graag bij MB en eigenlijk ook bij Hamilton.

Vind het vreemd dat Russell plots meer achter Hamilton zit een alleen maar om deze diva ( nicht) voor te trekken om niet af te gaan.
Als ik Russell was zou ik furieus zijn.

Rosberg weer er inmiddels alles van!
