Jerome D'Ambrosio kende niet het beste weekend uit zijn Formule 1-carriére. De Belgische coureur startte de race vanaf de allerlaatste positie op de grid en zorgde voor een zeldzame gebeurtenis tijdens de race. De Virgin-coureur gleed over het gladde, geverfde gedeelte in de pitlane en kwan gelukkig net op tijd tot stilstand.
