Latifi vindt Vettel goede vent: "Hij geeft om welzijn van coureurs"

Sebastian Vettel geeft niet alleen om het welzijn van de bijtjes en het klimaat, maar komt ook op voor zijn medecoureurs en steekt dat niet onder stoelen en banken. Williams-coureur Nicholas Latifi kan dat ontzettend waarderen in de viervoudig wereldkampioen.

"Sebastian is absoluut een van de meest vocale - dat is niet het juiste woord, maar hij is absoluut een van de coureurs die altijd zijn mening uitspreekt en die aan de stewards geeft als hij die heeft", geciteerd door Motorsport-total.com.

"Vooral als het gaat om de veiligheid van coureurs, en niet alleen de coureurs op de grid maar ook in de juniorklassen. Neem maar het voorbeeld van de gele 'broodjes'. Onze auto's komen er veel beter overheen dan de auto's in de juniorcategorieën en we hebben gezien dat sommige coureurs de afgelopen jaren behoorlijk gewond zijn geraakt."

GPDA

Vettel is een van de voorzitters van de Grand Prix Drivers Assocation en die rol is op zijn lijf geschreven volgens Latifi. "Hij is altijd de eerste die zich uitspreekt. En dat is hetzelfde met andere zaken, waaruit blijkt dat hij bereid is om de rol van GPDA-directeur zo lang op zich te nemen en hij geeft duidelijk om de toekomst van de sport en het welzijn van de coureurs."

"Het laat ook zien wat een goede vent hij is, want logischerwijs is het extra werk bovenop zijn toch al drukke leven als Formule 1-coureur."
