Turkije nodigt Ecclestone uit voor gesprek over race voor 2012

Turkije ontbreekt op de nieuwste versie van de voorlopige Formule 1-kalender voor volgend seizoen. De Turken leggen zich daar echter niet zomaar bij neer. De Turkse autosportbond TOSFED bekijkt de opties om de Grand Prix op Istanbul Park te redden.

TOSFED-voorzitter Mumtaz Tahincioglu gaat de dialoog aan met Bernie Ecclestone. Aan persbureau Anadolu vertelde hij: We zoeken naar manieren om de Formule 1 in Turkije te houden en de minister is bereid om al het nodige te doen om dit doel te bereiken. We zullen meneer Ecclestone uitnodigen voor een gesprek. We willen de onderhandelingen afronden.
