Video: Red Bull deelt onboardbeelden aangepast Spa

Aankomend weekend staat de Belgische Grand Prix weer op het programma. Het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps is afgelopen winter stevig onder handen genomen. De lay-out is hetzelfde gebleven maar de omgeving van het circuit is flink veranderd. Voor de coureurs wordt het dan ook weer eventjes wennen.

Red Bull Racing heeft al enkele promotievideo's opgenomen rondom het circuit van Spa. In een oudere Red Bull-bolide reed Max Verstappen alvast een rondje over de aangepaste baan. Het team van Red Bull Racing deelt op sociale media de eerste beelden van een onboard-rondje over het iconische circuit.

Was er voor de 24h van Spa nog even, het stuk naar beneden richting Eau Rouge is wel heel erg leeg langs de baan... er is veel weggehaald aan bomen, en het is een en al rots met 1 tijdelijke tribune. Wellicht dat er nog wat bijgebo... [Lees verder]

      De tribune bovenaan Eau Rouge geeft wel een heel mooi beeld over de bocht.
      Jammer dat dit een van de laatste keren is daar.... een schande eigenlijk.

      Zo een geweldig circuit hoort er gewoon ook bij.

      De gigantische investeringen die werden gedaan en voornamelijk voor F1 zijn niet voldoende reden. Ook na het fiasco van vorig jaar mag de F1 daar zeker een extra inspanning ondernemen.

      Ik zie Max niet terugschakelen op eau rouge eenmaal in de Q of R. Het circuit gaat sterk evolueren in het weekend en zoals bijna steeds "veranderlijke condities".

      Dit kan (weerom) een historische race worden! Weersomstandigheden, updates, nieuwe PU onderdelen, inhaalrace voor bepaalde toppers . . . nog een paar dagen en het is feest. Hopelijk niet het laatste hier op Spa

    Volgend jaar gaan we pas echt grote veranderingen zien; zo groot dat Spa helemaal niet meer te zien is op de F1 kalender. Helaas.

      Aan de bochtencombinatie zelf is helemaal niks veranderd, alleen buiten de lijntjes zijn veiligheidsaanpassingen gedaan.
