Ralf Schumacher kritisch op Ferrari: "Prachtig team maar ze maken teveel fouten"

Het team van Ferrari maakte in Zandvoort wederom zeer veel fouten. In de pitlane ging het meerdere keren mis bij de pitstops van Carlos Sainz. Bij zijn eerste pitstop stond de pitcrew nog niet correct klaar waardoor de stop lang duurde en bij zijn tweede pitstop werd hij vlak voor Fernando Alonso de baan opgestuurd.

Het momentje met Alonso leverde Sainz een tijdstraf van vijf seconden op. Het geklungel in de pitlane in Zandvoort past in het tegenvallende beeld van dit seizoen. Ferrari is vaak snel maar laat dat steekjes vallen op het gebied van de betrouwbaarheid of de tactiek. De betrouwbaarheidsproblemen lijken nu verleden tijd te zijn maar in de plaats daarvan zijn de tactische misperen gekomen.

Prachtig team

Ook oud-coureur Ralf Schumacher snapte er helemaal niets meer van. De Duitser verbaasde zich over het geklungel en sprak zich in zijn rol als analist uit bij de Duitse tak van Sky Sports: "Niet alleen de pitstop ging fout. De band ontbrak ook en de wheelgun lag in de weg. Ik snap er helemaal niets meer van. Het is een prachtig team maar ze maken te veel fouten. Maar er lijken geen maatregelen te worden genomen, niets is veranderd in Italië."

Uitzoeken

Schumacher hoopt dat men bij Ferrari snel de problemen gaat oplossen. De Duitser ziet dat Red Bull wegloopt in het kampioenschap en dat Mercedes dichterbij komt. Hij verwacht geen Ferrari zege in Monza: "Je moet dingen tot op de bodem uitzoeken. We hebben een groot gedeelte van het seizoen gehad en ze maken nog steeds dit soort fouten. Ferrari begint daardoor ook achter te lopen."

Wat vooral pijnlijk is, is dat ze een top wagen gebouwd hebben voor aanvang van dit seizoen, maar zowel qua technische doorontwikkeling als groei van het team naar een organisatie in de garage en pit muur naar een titelkandidaat volstrekt lijkt te stagneren.

Eigen gebeurt precies waar door velen al voor werd gevreesd nadat ze zo goed begonnen

Ja hoe Ferrari gister in de fout gaat bij pitstop Sainz dat is echt dom zeg. Onder druk bezwijkt Ferrari dan wil ik ze volgend weekend eens bezig zien in hun thuisrace wordt daar weer een puinhoop vrees ik.

Wat maakt het nou een prachtig team dan? Ik kan enkel de historie bedanken en dat het rood er mooi uit ziet.

Sinds de tijd van Schumacher is er bijna niets gepresteerd meer en het is over het algemeen een puinbak (zeker dit jaar).

Een mooi team is eerder een team wat groeit, ontwikkelt, outside the box denkt... maar goed, zal aan mij liggen

  Williams weet je wat voor een power house dat was vorige eeuw?
  Ferrari was niet alleen onder Der Schumi een sneltrein.... ken je geschiedenis voor je zomaar wat schrijft. een kleur maakt een team niet succesvol.
