Dit weekend belooft een zeer speciaal Grand Prix-weekend te worden voor de Italiaanse autosportfan. Het Formule 1-circus is immers neergestreken in Monza en thuisfavoriet Ferrari viert zijn 75-jarige jubileum. In de afgelopen paar races liep niet alles op rolletjes voor het team dus men zinspeelt op sportieve revanche.

In de meest recente races ging het voor Ferrari meerdere keren fout met de strategische keuzes. Hierdoor werden goede resultaten verspeeld en daardoor staat men bij Ferrari ver achter op de concurrentie. In Monza wil men voor het eigen publiek toeslaan en er met de zege vandoor gaan.
