Coureurs laten niets aan het toeval over in voorbereiding op GP Singapore

Aan het einde van deze maand gaat het Formule 1-circus weer verder met de Grand Prix van Singapore. Door de coronacrisis ontbrak de race in de Aziatische stadsstaat twee jaar lang op de kalender maar nu maakt hij zijn comeback. De coureurs laten in ieder geval niets aan het toeval over in de voorbereiding.

De Grand Prix in Singapore wordt gezien als één van de fysiek zwaarste races op de Formule 1-kalender. De omstandigheden in Singapore zijn altijd zeer warm en dat kan gevolgen hebben voor een ongetrainde coureur. De meeste coureurs laten op de sociale kanalen dan ook zien dat men bezig is met een Spartaanse voorbereiding. Onder andere Sergio Perez, George Russell en Carlos Sainz werken zich letterlijk flink in het zweet.

      Ik heb 'n tijdje geleden nog gecorrespondeerd met 'n Zweedse.

      Toen ze op mijn verzoek haar bips liet zien zag ik er 'n grote buil onder hangen, ik schrok me te pletter.

      Was natuurlijk zo'n man die op 'n vrouw leek Snork.....gatver, ik begin nu pas 'n beetje de ouwe weer te worden, dit voorval heeft me erg aangegrepen.

      Heftig Ouw, heftig….sterkte.
      Misschien als therapie een paar keer naar de Ikea gaan? Zweedae balletjes zijn daar ruim voorradig. Als verwerkingsproces. Tip.

    Iemand zal Albon tegen zichzelf moeten beschermen. Die heeft een enorme fysieke opdonder gehad en die zal zijn lichaam weer langzaam moeten gebruiken/trainen en dus niet zo intensief trainen. Dat is onverantwoord. Hij zal er zelf graag bij willen zijn, maar zijn gezondheid gaat voor. Nyck is er ook om hem in Japan te vervangen.

      Als Albon medisch okay verklaard wordt, en zijn sportcoach hem ook fit verklaart, is er niemand nodig om hem te stoppen. Of hij fit verklaard wordt, dat is echter nog even de vraag. Het is niet voor Nycks dat Nyck zich aan het voorbereiden is voor de stoomoven die Yas Marina is.

    Ik kijk serieus uit naar Singapore. Dit is wel echt 1 zoals een stratencircuit hoort te zijn. 90 graden bochten. Nog wel wat hobbels... redelijk smal maar er zijn wel inhaalkansen...

    Zwaar voor de coureurs om focus te houden... safetycar dramas, verassingen... dit is echt het beeld dat ik bij stratencircuits heb en in alle jaren is hier al zoveel gebeurt.

    Massa Hamilton, Crashgate, brandweerman Kovalainen, onverklaarbaar langzame mercedes, Ferrari Red Bull sandwich...

    Weg met Saudi Arabië, Las Vegas en Miami dat gewoon racecircuit zijn met een muur. Eentje meer zoals dit, bijvoorbeeld Adelaide en er zijn wat mij betreft genoeg city races.

      Ja en nee. Ik heb een hekel aan racen onder kunstlicht.
      Ik hou van old school tracks met grind en grasveldjes eromheen, waar gewoon in daglichttijd gereden wordt.
      Onder het kunstlicht heb ik het gevoel naar een computergame te zitten kijken.

      Meestal is het er file rijden. 1 van de saaiste races van het seizoen. En hopelijk heb ik ongelijk en kan er met de nieuwe auto's wel ingehaald worden.
