Haas herdenkt overleden teammedewerker met eerbetoon

Het team van Haas werkt dit weekend een race met een zwarte rand af. De Amerikaanse renstal rijdt een thuisrace in Austin maar ze moeten wel rijden met het nodige verdriet. Op donderdag overleed er namelijk een teamlid van Haas, men herdenkt hem dit weekend op meerdere manieren.

Haas herdenkt dit weekend hun medewerker Harvey Cook. De teamleden dragen dit weekend een rouwband en op de voorzijde van de wagens van Mick Schumacher en Kevin Magnussen prijkt een eerbetoon aan Cook. Hij werd slechts 30 jaar en Haas herdacht hem na afloop van de eerste vrije training op de sociale media met meerdere foto's van het eerbetoon.

Cook was als garage-technicus vaak bij races aanwezig, maar ging gedurende zijn strijd tegen zijn ziekte op de fabriek werken. Cook is overleden aan de gevolgen van kanker.
