De eerste Grand Prix van India wakkert de belangstelling vanuit het Aziatische land voor de koningsklasse van de autosport aan. Steeds meer potentiële investeerders dienen zich aan om iets te doen in de Formule 1.

Die trend bespeurde Vicky Chandhok, voorzitter van de Indiase autosportbond. Aan Press Association vertelde hij: Zowel cricket- en Bollywood-sterren als sommige grote bedrijven hebben interesse getoond om een Formule 1-team te bezitten.
