Morgen wordt de kwalificatie op het Autodromo Hermanos Rodrigeuz verreden. De fans kijken er reikhalzend naar uit en het is de verwachting dat het een zeer spannende sessie gaat worden. De coureurs zullen ook uitkijken naar de kwalificatie want de poleman krijgt een bijzondere prijs.

Vorig jaar kon de polesitter in Mexico een replica van de helm van Juan Manuel Fangio verdienen. Dit jaar heeft men weer gekozen voor een replica, geheel in de stijl van het circuit. De Fangio Foundation geeft dit jaar namelijk de replica's van de helmen van de gebroeders Rodriguez weg. De broers Pedro en Ricardo zijn de naamgevers van het circuit en waren beide zeer succesvol.
