Sainz ontvangt gridstraf vanwege ICE-wissel

Ook dit weekend in Brazilië zal men een ingewikkelde taak krijgen met het bepalen van de startgrid voor de race. Het team van Ferrari heeft namelijk besloten om de wagen van Carlos Sainz te voorzien van een nieuwe ICE, dat levert hem een ook een gridstraf op.

Aangezien er dit weekend een sprint wordt afgewerkt geldt de gridstraf van Sainz pas voor de startopstelling voor de race van zondag. De Spanjaard start dus op de plek waarop hij zich kwalificeert voor de sprint. Naar verwachting ontvangt hij een gridstraf van vijf plaatsen, deze geldt dus pas voor de race van zondag.
