Dit weekend rijdt Nicholas Latifi zijn laatste Grand Prix voor het team van Williams. Aangezien de Canadees voor volgend seizoen nog geen nieuw stoeltje heeft gevonden en er tevens weinig Formule 1-interesse voor hem is, is de kans groot dat het zijn laatste Grand Prix is. Bij Williams neemt men in ieder geval afscheid.

De Britse renstal deelt daags voor de seizoensfinale in Abu Dhabi een afscheidsvideo voor Latifi op de sociale media. In de video delen meerdere teamleden hun boodschap voor Latifi. Uit de video kan men opmaken dat de Canadees een goede indruk heeft achter gelaten op het team.
