Samenwerking tussen McLaren en Gulf komt ten einde

Het team van McLaren werkte in de afgelopen jaren samen met hun strategische partner Gulf. De samenwerking met het oliebedrijf bracht het team terug naar vroeger, de twee bedrijven hebben immers een grote geschiedenis samen. Nu komt er echter een einde aan deze samenwerking.

Gisteren maakten de twee bedrijven bekend dat hun samenwerking het seizoen 2022 ten einde komt. Gulf en McLaren waren in de afgelopen seizoenen strategische partners en de logo's van het oliebedrijf waren aanwezig op de wagens van dit jaar Lando Norris en Daniel Ricciardo. Vorig seizoen eerde McLaren hun partner met een speciale livery tijdens de Grand Prix van Monaco.

      Ook niet die ene van Monaco.
      Nee, daarvoor moet je decennia terug.
      "Iconisch" kennen we vandaag de dag helaas niet meer.

      Klopt!! Dit is een merk dat voor eeuwig in F1 had moeten blijven.

      Een mooie oefening zou zijn om de grid opnieuw in te kleden met allerhande ironische merken en zelfs wat nieuwe. Tip voor wie wat tijd heeft tijdens de winterstop en overweg kan met photoshop. 😉

      Die zijn inderdaad mooi @Snelrondje maar ik zit ff te googlen en de McLaren 720S in die livery is ook niet verkeerd!

      één ding is zeker, life is a bitch. Gulf weg uit de F1. Hoe moet het nu verder. Wat is de F1 nog waard zonder Gulf. Niks. Een lege huls. Doek dan het hele circus maar op. Wilde aanvankelijk in 2023 weer gaan kijken maar nu Gulf vertrokken is denk ik dat ik ook maar de spreekwoordelijke pijp aan de spreekwoordelijke Maarten geeft. Het heeft gewoon geen zin meer zo.
