Russell past alvast Mercedes-stoeltje voor Formule 1-seizoen 2023

Het team van Mercedes kende dit jaar een zeer teleurstellend seizoen. De Duitse renstal won slechts één Grand Prix en de concurrentie van Red Bull Racing en Ferrari waren simpelweg sneller. George Russell won zijn eerste Grand Prix en de Brit kijkt dan ook uit naar het nieuwe seizoen.

Russell beleefde een zeer sterk eerste seizoen in dienst van Mercedes. De Brit is vroeg begonnen aan het nieuwe seizoen, hij heeft zijn eerste belangrijke dag op de Mercedes-fabriek voor 2023 er al opzitten. Op sociale media is namelijk te zien hoe Russell zijn stoeltje voor het aankomende seizoen al heeft gepast.

Russell heeft ontkend dat Hamilton meer ontwikkelingswerk heeft gedaan in het eerste gedeelte van het seizoen. Dus Hamilton is overtuigend verslagen door Russell.
