Sainz en Leclerc terug op de baan voor bandentests

Het Formule 1-seizoen zit erop maar dat betekent niet dat de coureurs even achterover kunnen gaan leunen. Ook de coureurs van Ferrari moeten nog eventjes wachten voordat ze op vakantie kunnen gaan, Carlos Sainz kroop gisteren weer achter het stuur van zijn Formule 1-bolide.

De Spanjaard kwam gisteren namelijk in actie tijdens een test op het circuit van Fiorano. Sainz werkte op een natte baan een bandentest af voor bandenleverancier Pirelli. Sainz testte de regenbanden voor 2023 en deed dat op een baan die nat was gemaakt door de sproeiers. Vandaag kruipt Sainz' teamgenoot Charles Leclerc achter het stuur van de Ferrari.

De bandentest werd al eerder aangekondigd en Ferrari is zeker niet de enige renstal die meewerkt aan de tests. Het team van Alfa Romeo kwam afgelopen weekend al in actie op Paul Ricard, Robert Kubica testte daar met de compounds voor het aankomende seizoen.
