Van Uitert rijdt 24 uur van Daytona voor TDS Racing

In het weekend van 28 en 29 januari wordt de legendarische 24 uur van Daytona weer verreden. Op de Daytona International Speedway verschijnen veel bekende namen aan de start. Ook Nederland is weer goed vertegenwoordigd, ook Job van Uitert neemt dit jaar namelijk mee aan de autosportklassieker.

Van Uitert rijdt aankomende maand voor het team van TDS Racing op de Daytona International Speedway. De Dongenaar deelt zijn wagen met landgenoot Giedo van der Garde, François Heriau en de pas 16-jarige Amerikaan Josh Pierson. Van Uitert en Van der Garde waren eerder ook al elkaars teamgenoot bij het team van Racing Team Nederland.

Dit jaar vormen ze dus een team wat uit zal komen in de LMP2-klasse. Van Uitert nam twee jaar geleden ook al mee aan de 24 uur van Daytona, toen reed hij echter geen meter vanwege een vroege crash van één van zijn teamgenoten. In januari krijgt van Uitert de kans om sportieve revanche te nemen. De wedstrijd gaat om ongeveer 19:40 Nederlandse tijd van start op zaterdag 28 januari en de enduranceklassieker finisht een dag later.
