Drugovich houdt F1 droom in leven: 'Hopelijk over één of twee jaar'

F2-kampioen Felipe Drugovich heeft een stap dichterbij de koningsklasse van de motorsport gemaakt. Drugovich hoopte in de voetsporen van vele F2-kampioenen te volgen door na een titelwinnend seizoen de stap omhoog naar de Formule 1 te maken. Echter is de startgrid van het F1-circus drukbezet waardoor de coureur genoodzaakt is om genoegen te nemen met een reserverol bij het F1-team van Aston Martin.

Wat betreft puntenscore verpletterde Felipe Drugovich zijn concurrenten in het F2-kampioenschap van 2022. De coureur van het Nederlandse MP Motorsport behaalde vijf overwinningen waardoor hij met ruim honderd punten verschil voor runner-up Theo Pourchaire eindigde. Tijdens de officiële prijzengala van de internationale autosportbond FIA meent Drugovich dat zijn Formule 1-droom nog steeds recht overeind staat.

"Natuurlijk wou ik na mijn F2-titelwinst in de Formule 1 volgend jaar zitten”, vertelt Drugovich. “Maar wanneer ik mij realiseerde dat dit onmogelijk was, gaf Aston Martin mij de beste kans zonder daadwerkelijk in de Formule 1 te rijden. In het begin voelde het niet prettig, maar daarna realiseerde ik mij dat het een heel goed programma is." Naast de officiële reservecoureur te zijn van Aston Martin, is Drugovich ook de eerste die zich aansluit bij het juniorprogramma van het Britse team.

"Ik studeer veel met ze. Ze hebben het juniorprogramma opgezet dus ze willen echt dat dit (de samenwerking) gaat werken. Ik zal gaan testen en ik zal ook in de auto zijn, dus we moeten goed voorbereid zijn. Hopelijk ben ik in één of twee jaar tijd in de Formule 1", besluit Drugovich.

Alonso stopt gedesillusioneerd na 1 jaar. Ruzie met de familie stroll. Geen vooruitgang en alles ruk. Dan kan drugovich instappen

  Alonso sloopt Stroll jr. en weet Stroll’s kant van de garage ook voor zich te winnen en die keren zich massaal tegen het zoontje van. Stroll jr. huilt uit bij papa en roept dat hij Alonso maar stom vind. Papa Stroll doet wat een goede papa betaamd en trapt Alonso uit het team. Drugovich mag het stoeltje overnemen als hij belooft braaf en niet te kritisch te zijn en aam de kant te gaan voor Stroll jr. als hem dat gevraagd wordt. Anders kan Stroll jr. natuurlijk nooit papa’s droom waarmaken en wereldkampioen worden!

  Wanneer de Strolls verveeld raken in de F1 en jr. uit de F1 stapt, verkoopt papa de toko voor heeeel veeel geld aan een rijke Rus of Arabiër en gaan ze een nieuwe hobby zoeken. Dan kopen ze golfclub ofzo en gaan ze golfen
