Met Mick Schumacher rijdt er aankomend seizoen weer een coureur van de familie Schumacher in de kleuren van Mercedes. Mick wordt de derde coureur van het team waarvoor zijn vader in 2012 zijn laatste podium scoorde. Mercedes deelt in een opvallende video de trofee en het verhaal van de desbetreffende podiumplaats van Michael Schumacher.
