Grand Prix van Las Vegas-pakket ter waarde van 5 miljoen dollar gaat in verkoop

Aankomend seizoen keert de Grand Prix van Las Vegas terug op de Formule 1-kalender. De koningsklasse van de autosport zal gaan racen op een bijzonder stratencircuit in het gokparadijs. De wereldberoemde hotels in Vegas willen ook profiteren van het racegeweld en men komt met een aantal absurde pakketen.

De Grand Prix van Las Vegas belooft een bizar racespektakel te gaan worden. Het circuit leidt dwars door het centrum van de gokstad in de staat Nevada en dat betekent dat er ook zal worden gereden op de wereldberoemde Strip. De omliggende casino's en hotels profiteren mee en komen met bizarre aanbiedingen voor de allerrijkste Formule 1-fans.

Caesars Entertainment komt bijvoorbeeld met een zeer bijzondere aanbieding voor een groep fans. Men verkoopt namelijk een ticketpakket ter waarde van zo'n 5 miljoen dollar. Het zogenaamde Emperor's Package biedt een groep van 12 fans het raceweekend uit hun met goud vergulde dromen. Men krijgt namelijk toegang tot de Paddock Club, de Pit Lane Walk en ze krijgen een speciale plek om naar de sessies te kijken. Tevens krijgen ze een luxueuze maaltijd aangeboden en mogen ze naar een concert van Adele. Ook krijgen ze een privéchauffeur met de beschikking tot een Rolls Royce.

    Als er iemand bereid is dit te betalen, is het een meesterzet, maar er zit ook enig afbreukrisico aan: het niet verkopen van een dergelijk pakket zou gezichtsverlies voor de organisatie betekenen.
