Rallycross-sterren vertegenwoordigen Amerika bij Race of Champions

Aankomende maand staat in Zweden weer de bekende Race of Champions weer op het programma. Naast Formule 1-bekenden Sebastian Vettel, Mick Schumacher en Valtteri Bottas doen er nog veel meer coureurs mee. De organisatie heeft twee bijzondere coureurs gestrikt voor het Amerikaanse team.

Tijdens de Race of Champions wordt er naast een individuele wedstrijd ook een landenwedstrijd verreden. Op de bevroren ondergrond van het Zweedse Pite Havsbad komen de Amerikaanse rallycross-sterren Travis Pastrana en Tanner Foust in actie. Foust is actief in de Extreme E voor het team van McLaren en Pastrana is de regerend Nitro RX-kampioen. Het event vindt plaats op 28 en 29 januari.

Hahaha wat een selectie. Met alle respect voor de twee heren, vooral Pastrana die op meerdere onderdelen in de X games goud heeft, maar Foust kan al jaren niet meer kwalificeren tussen de echte top en Pastrana is meer een showman zonder angst dan een puur rallycross talent...
