AlphaTauri sluit deal met voormalige titelsponsor van Alfa Romeo

De sponsormarkt in de Formule 1 draait vandaag op volle toeren. Het team van Alfa Romeo presenteerde vandaag hun nieuwe titelsponsor Stake, hun oude titelsponsor Orlen heeft ook een nieuwe partner gevonden. Vandaag werd duidelijk dat Orlen gaat samenwerken met het team van AlphaTauri.

Vlak na de aankondiging van de nieuwe titelpartner van Alfa Romeo, volgde het nieuws van de nieuwe deal tussen Orlen en AlphaTauri. Het olie- en gasbedrijf fungeerde vorig jaar als titelsponsor van Alfa Romeo en zal aankomend seizoen aan AlphaTauri verbonden zijn als 'principal partner'. De logo's van Orlen zullen volgens het persbericht te zien zijn op onder andere de achtervleugel.

AlphaTauri gaat dit seizoen op jacht naar goede resultaten met een opvallende line-up. Pierre Gasly verliet de renstal immers en vertrok naar het team van Alpine. Yuki Tsunoda is aangebleven en krijgt dit jaar de Nederlander Nyck de Vries als zijn nieuwe teamgenoot. De Vries debuteerde vorig seizoen in de Formule 1 als invaller bij het team van Williams tijdens de Italiaanse Grand Prix.
