Schumacher ook reservecoureur voor McLaren in 2023

Mick Schumacher kreeg na een teleurstellend 2022 geen nieuw contract bij het team van Haas. De Duitser bleef echter niet lang werkloos en werd door Mercedes aangetrokken als reservecoureur voor het aankomende seizoen. Schumacher functioneert aankomend seizoen echter ook als reserve van nog een ander team.

Gisteravond werd namelijk bekend dat Schumacher ook gaat fungeren als reservecoureur van het team van McLaren. De Britse renstal deelde een foto op sociale media waar te zien is dat Schumacher werkzaamheden verricht op de fabriek van McLaren. De deal tussen McLaren en motorleverancier Mercedes is niet nieuw, vorig jaar kon men immers ook Nyck de Vries oproepen om in te vallen. Schumacher kan in 2023 dus mogelijk in actie komen voor minimaal twee teams.
