Williams kondigt naast Gulf Oil drie andere deals aan

Met de bekendmaking van het kleurenschema van de 2023-bolide van Williams, kwam de Britse renstal als toevoeging met ander nieuws op de proppen. De Gulf Oil partnerschap viel volledig in de lijn der verwachtingen, aangezien vorige week het nieuws uitlekte waarin Gulf op de officiële Williams-website als partner te zien was. Naast het samenkomen van twee legendarische namen in de autosport, voegt Williams volgens de scherpe ogen van Decalspotters naast Gulf nog drie andere sponsoren toe.

De livery voor 2023 bleek grotendeels hetzelfde als die van vorig jaar. Vele fans waren enigszins teleurgesteld, aangezien de fluorescerend-oranje tinten van Gulf niet op de auto van 2023 te zien zijn. Gulf Oil zal (voor dit jaar) genoegen moeten nemen met een kleine bestickering op de zijkant van de achtervleugel.

Naast het grootse nieuws van een samenwerking op de lange termijn tussen Williams en Gulf, kondigt de Britse renstal nog drie andere partners aan. Volgens het bekende twitteraccount Decalspotters (@Decalspotters) zijn de namen en logo’s van Stephens, Michelob ULTRA en Purestream nieuw op de 2023-bolide te vinden.

Het management achter Williams, Dorilton Capital, lijkt vooralsnog geslaagd te zijn in de zoektocht naar nieuwe partners. Met Stephens, een bedrijf gespecialiseerd in financiële services, Michelob ULTRA, het snelst groeiende biermerk in de Verenigde Staten en Purestream, een elektronisch investeringsplatform lijkt de Britse renstal partners te hebben gevonden voor de lange termijn.

Volgens Decalspotters zal Stephens het team een officiële partner worden op het gebied van investeringen. Michelob ULTRA heeft getekend voor een meerjarige deal, terwijl Purestream op haar beurt op elektronische services met het team zal samenwerken.

Goed om te zien dat er wat betalende sponsors bij zijn gekomen. Hopelijk kunnen ze het op de baan vertalen naar betere resultaten.

Mooi om te zien. Zeker leuk dat Gulf (weer) terugkeert. Het wordt tijd dat Williams ook qua performance de middenmoot weer eens vaker weet te vinden
