McLaren vindt in DP World nieuwe teampartner

De Formule 1-teams zijn momenteel allemaal bezig met de voorbereidingen op het aanstaande seizoen. Veel team zijn bezig met de laatste voorbereidingen en dat betekent ook dat er deals worden gesloten voor het nieuwe seizoen. Het team van McLaren presenteert bijvoorbeeld een nieuwe teampartner.

De Britse renstal uit Woking maakte gisteren bekend dat ze een nieuwe teampartner hebben gevonden in DP World. Het bedrijf uit de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten wordt de officiële logistieke partner van McLaren. DP World wordt tevens een officiële teampartner en dat betekent dat de logo's van het bedrijf zichtbaar zullen zijn op de wagens en de overalls van coureurs Lando Norris en Oscar Piastri.

DP World is een staatsbedrijf van het Emiraat Dubai en hiermee betreedt er dus wederom een bedrijf uit het Midden-Oosten de koningsklasse van de autosport. DP staat voor Dubai Ports en het bedrijf richt zich dan ook op de transportsector, dat verklaart ook het feit dat ze de logistieke partner van McLaren worden. De Britse renstal toont de nieuwe wagen op 13 februari, volgende week, aan de buitenwereld.
