Karun Chandhok neemt plaats in Lotus-bolide in eerste training Spa

Karun Chandhok zal morgen tijdens de eerste vrije training op Spa-Francorchamps weer in actie komen voor Team Lotus. De Indiër zal Jarno Trulli of Heikki Kovalainen vervangen tijdens de eerste sessie, iets wat hij al meerdere malen dit seizoen heeft gedaan. In Duitsland mocht Chandhok zelfs de race rijden ten koste van Trulli.

"Na de zomerstop kijk ik er erg naar uit om terug in de auto te mogen zitten", vertelde Chandhok. "Spa is één van de beste circuits op de kalender en ik vind het heerlijk om er te rijden. Het weer is hier zoals altijd onvoorspelbaar, maar het is een mooie gelegenheid om weer wat ervaring op te doen met de auto."

Chandhok scoorde zijn eerste GP2-zege in 2007 op Spa-Francorchamps.
