'Mini wordt onderdeel van Alpine Academy'

Vrijwel alle Formule 1-teams hebben vandaag de dag een eigen talentenploeg. Veel jonge coureurs zijn aangesloten bij de juniorenteams en ze krijgen dan ook steun van de Formule 1-teams tijdens hun loopbaan in de opstapklassen. Het team van Alpine heeft ook zo'n opleidingsploeg en het is de verwachting dat ze op korte termijn de nieuwe namen bekend gaan maken.

De Alpine Academy bracht in de afgelopen jaren een aantal coureurs voort. In het afgelopen jaar waren Victor Martins en Jack Doohan de bekendste namen uit de opleidingsploeg. Doohan mocht zelfs een tweetal vrije trainingen rijden voor het Formule 1-team. Doohan is dan ook één van de grootste talenten uit deze stal, maar het is de verwachting dat daar deze week een paar nieuwe namen bij komen.

GPToday.net heeft namelijk vernomen dat men deze week bekend maakt dat Gabriele Mini onderdeel gaat worden van de Alpine Academy. De 17-jarige Italiaan rijdt aankomend seizoen in de Formule 3 voor het team van Hitech Pulse-Eight en hij liet in de afgelopen jaren aardige dingen zien in andere juniorenklassen. In 2022 werd hij vierde in het Aziatische Formula Regional-kampioenschap en werd hij tweede in het Europese Formula Regional-kampioenschap. Ook Aiden Neate en Amaury Cordeel worden in verband gebracht met Alpine. De naam van Cordeel is echter het grootste vraagteken.

  Wat zouden ze daar in vredesnaam mee moeten. Ik ken de meest recente cijfers niet, maar volgens mij is het matig lopend dochtermerk van BMW.
