Sainz genoot van bijzondere launch: "Nu ging het heel erg goed"

Het team van Ferrari onthulde eerder deze week de nieuwe SF-23 op een spectaculaire manier. Op het thuiscircuit van Fiorano presenteerde men de nieuwe wagen voor een livepubliek en reed Charles Leclerc direct de eerste rondjes met de wagen. Carlos Sainz prijst de aanpak van zijn team.

Ferrari pakte groots uit met de launch van de nieuwe wagen. De Italiaanse renstal vulde een tribune vol met fans en verraste iedereen met direct een paar rondjes op het circuit. Leclerc mocht als eerste plaatsnemen achter het stuur en mocht nog voor de shakedown de baan op komen. De fans waren uitzinnig en wereldwijd keken tienduizenden mensen naar de voorzichtige opwarmrondjes.

Carlos Sainz moest iets langer wachten voordat hij plaats mocht nemen achter het stuur van de SF-23. De Spanjaard genoot van zijn rondjes én de bijzondere launch van het team. Sainz is dan ook trots in gesprek met Motorsport.com: "Ik vind het echt positief wat we hebben gedaan, alles ging ook nog eens perfect. Het was een groot risico om een gloednieuwe wagen zo voor de ogen van de wereld de baan op te sturen. Mensen genoten zonder dat wij ook maar één probleem hadden. Normaal kom je tijdens dit soort rondjes altijd problemen tegen, nu ging het heel goed."

Wat een leuk initiatief om daar de fans bij te betrekken.
Ik vind dat dat beloond moet worden met de beide titels dit jaar.
