Alpine stelt voormalig stervoetballer Zidane aan als teamambassadeur

Het team van Alpine presenteerde gisteren tijdens een uitgebreide show in Londen de nieuwe A523. De Franse renstal had echter nog veel meer nieuwtjes te melden, één daarvan was zeer verrassend. Het team van Alpine deelde namelijk dat ze een opvallende nieuwe teamambassadeur hebben aangesteld.

Tegen het einde van de launch werd namelijk voormalig stervoetballer en oud-trainer van Real Madrid Zinedine Zidane het podium opgeroepen. De Franse voormalig voetbalster zal vanaf aankomend seizoen gaan fungeren als de officiële ambassadeur van Alpine. Zidane zal daarnaast gaan fungeren als de sponsor van het Race(H)er programma. Zidane, die geen woord Engels spreekt, liet zich tijdens de launch zeer positief uit over het team, hoeveel races hij gaat bezoeken is nog niet duidelijk.

    Frans team, Franse Coureurs, zeer niche merk (Alpine) en een Franse Ambassador die niet eens Engels spreekt?

    Ik zou me zorgen gaan maken als je toch in Enstone voor ze werkt.

      In Frankrijk en onder voetballiefhebbers ja, maar volgens mij is een andere generatie nu hot en in bijvoorbeeld Amerika kent bijna niemand hem. Als je doel is om internationaal te scoren, zou ik persoonlijk niet kiezen voor twee Franse rijders, een Franse voetballer als ambassadeur enz. enz.. Dit is Formule 1, een sport zonder Franse Grand Prix.
