Ferrari testte opvallende achtervleugel uit tijdens ochtendsessie

Het team van Ferrari verscheen deze ochtend in Bahrein op de baan met een opvallend nieuw onderdeel. Tijdens de laatste ochtend van de wintertest op het circuit van Sakhir werd dit onderdeel kort op de wagen van Charles Leclerc geplaatst. Er waren echter al snel problemen.

Ferrari reed deze ochtend namelijk met een achtervleugel met maar één steunpilaar. Deze vleugel moet voor meer efficiëntie zorgen tijdens de hoge snelheden die worden bereikt. Vroeg in de sessie viel het onderdeel op, op een manier die men bij Ferrari liever niet ziet. De DRS bleef namelijk haken waardoor de nieuwe vleugel al snel moest worden vervangen door een ouder exemplaar met twee steunpilaren.
