Hamilton wordt gezicht van Braziliaanse bank en debuteert in promotievideo

Zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Lewis Hamilton is vanaf nu op de nationale Braziliaanse televisiezenders te zien. Tijdens een reclameblok van de Braziliaanse bank Itaú Personnalité is Hamilton in een promotievideo te zien. De eerste reclamecampagne was te zien op het drukste televisiemoment in Brazilië, waar hij een minuut lang zijn nieuwe partner promoot.

Voor vele Formule 1-kenners is het al lang en breed duidelijk dat Lewis Hamilton en Brazilië één zijn. In 2017 tijdens de Canadese Grand Prix werd Hamilton door de familie van de voormalig Braziliaanse Formule 1-coureur Ayrton Senna met een replicahelm geëerd, terwijl hij aan het eind van 2022 nog officieel tot Braziliaans ereburger benoemd werd. Bovenstaande voorbeelden zijn een duidelijk signaal dat Hamilton altijd op veel steun vanuit het Zuid-Amerikaanse land kan rekenen.

Eerder deze week maakte de 37-jarige Brit echter een debuut in Brazilië mee. Ditmaal was de Mercedes-coureur voor het eerst op Braziliaanse televisie tijdens een reclameblok te vinden, waar hij de bank Itaú Personnalité promoot. In de video praat hij in het Engels, maar uiteraard is de video van Braziliaanse ondertiteling voorzien. Aan het eind sluit Hamilton wél met een paar woordjes Braziliaans af: “Sempre em movimento”, oftewel; “altijd onderweg”.

Als die bank net zo corrupt is als zoveel daar geloof ik niet dat ik mijn spaargeld daar ga stallen.......haha, ik heb helemaal geen spaargeld en wat ik heb past in 'n kindersokske..

Ik moet wel zeggen dat een "nieuwsbericht" als deze een beetje wrange smaak in mijn mond bezorgd. Een nieuws artikel over Hamilton die niks van doen heeft met sponsoring in de Formule 1 of met randzaken daarin, maar puur op persoonlijk vlak van Hamilton betrekking heeft. Het riekt naar enige vorm van stemmingmakerij. Immers zie je ook niks van andere coureurs wat zij op persoonlijk vlak uitvoeren. Zelfs niet alles van Verstappen. Misschien moet de @R edactie te rade gaan of dit iets is wat ze willen. Maargoed.. mijn mening.

  De beste rijders hebben gewoon allemaal sponsoren. Staat me bij dat er laatst een melding was ook dat Verstappen ergens ambassadeur van was geworden. Alleen vergeten waarvan. Net zo goed als ik straks ga vergeten waar Hamton het gezicht van wordt.

  Het is wel Brazilië. Ze zullen dus wel genoeg wit wassen om te voorkomen dat de bank geen zwarte cijfers meer schrijft en Lowietje niet over de rooie hoeft te gaan. 😉
