Haas ontvangt belangrijke milieu-onderscheiding van de FIA

Het team van Haas heeft voorafgaand het nieuwe Formule 1-seizoen goed nieuws ontvangen vanuit autosportfederatie FIA. De Amerikaanse renstal heeft in de afgelopen jaren werk gemaakt van een milieuvriendelijkere werkwijze. Het team van Haas heeft daarvoor nu een nieuwe onderscheiding ontvangen van de FIA.

Vandaag werd namelijk bekend dat Haas de zogenaamde ' Three-Star Environmental Accreditation' heeft ontvangen van de FIA. Het is de hoogste onderscheiding die de FIA vergeeft op dit vlak van de sport. Met deze titel ontvangt het team erkenning voor het werk dat men levert om bij te dragen aan een groenere autosportwereld, in 2021 ontving Haas de voorgaande onderscheiding op dit gebied.

De renstal laat weten dat ze meerdere stappen hebben gezet in de richting van de vandaag uitgereikte onderscheiding. De meest in het oog springende maatregel is de zeer kleine pitwall van het team. Hiermee bespaart men niet alleen vervoerskosten, maar ook gewicht. Doordat de nieuwe pitwall minder weegt, stoot men ook minder uit bij het vervoer hiervan. Verder heeft men ervoor gezorgd dat de energie op het hoofdkantoor groen is en is de teamkleding gemaakt van milieuvriendelijk materiaal.

Het is toch gewoon een zelfverzonnen ding van de FIA waaraan helemaal niets is ontleend of aan verbonden is?
Niks belangrijks aan dus.
En die kleinere pitwall had te maken met het kostenplaatje dus dat milieu oogpunt kan bij deze ook meteen over het hek.

Let wel, ik heb deze nominatie helemaal zelf verzonnen en je krijgt er verder helemaal niks voor.
Maar je kan nu wél op feestjes en in de kroeg tegen iedereen verkondigen dat je daadwerkelijk bent genomineerd.

Waarom zit "de pitwall" niet gewoon in een vrachtwagen in de paddock? Het ziet er leuk en interessant uit maar er gebeurt mijns inziens niks wat niet op afstand gezien of geregeld kan worden.
Geen pitwall, nog groener en beter voor het milieu, de bomen schieten zowat de grond uit bij de gedachte alleen al.
