Mercedes trekt adviseur met Red Bull-verleden aan

Het team van Mercedes moet door het vertrek van James Vowles naar Mercedes het management gaan herstructureren. Om dat voor elkaar te krijgen heeft men besloten om een nieuwe speciale adviseur aan te trekken voor het team, opvallend genoeg hebben ze een adviseur gevonden met een Red Bull Racing-achtergrond.

Het team van Mercedes heeft namelijk Jayne Poole aangetrokken als de nieuwe speciale adviseur van teambaas Toto Wolff. Poole arriveerde op de vrijdag in Bahrein in de aanwezigheid van Wolff en Mercedes gaf daarna aan dat ze haar inderdaad hadden gecontracteerd. Opvallend genoeg werkte ze in het verleden voor concurrent Red Bull Racing, ze was daar HR-directeur.

Poole krijgt bij Mercedes onder meer de taak om de infrastructuur binnen het team door te nemen. Ze gaat advies geven om te kijken welke veranderingen er mogelijk kunnen worden doorgevoerd. Door het vertrek van Vowles is er immers een gat ontstaan in de managementstructuur van Mercedes en moet men dus op zoek naar een vervanger. Daarnaast wil men ook beter presteren aangezien men vorig jaar een zeer teleurstellend seizoen kende in de koningsklasse van de autosport.
