AlphaTauri sluit bijzondere deal met fietsenleverancier

Veel Formule 1-coureurs verkennen het circuit voorafgaand een Grand Prix-weekend op de fiets. Het levert vaak leuke plaatjes op en de coureurs vermaken zich dan ook op de fiets. Het team van AlphaTauri heeft hier op geanticipeerd en men heeft een officiële fietsenpartner toegevoegd aan de sponsorlijst.

AlphaTauri laat namelijk weten dat ze een deal hebben gesloten met het Italiaanse bedrijf Basso Bikes. Het fietsenbedrijf heeft voor de Italiaanse zusterploeg van Red Bull Racing een speciale fiets ontworpen waarmee de coureurs en teammedewerkers zich zullen verplaatsen. Het team maakte de deal bekend doormiddel van een soort ronkende video die werd gedeeld op sociale media.

      Denk dat een monteurtje eerst nog ff 4 blokjes op de pedaaltjes mot monteren voordat die 2 kleine yukkies kunnen beginnen met trappelen. En aangezien de heren coureurs nogal eens stevig op hun plaat met de fiets, zhou het me nycks verbazen als ze er voor de veiligheid ook nog een paar zijwieltjes op laten zetten.

    Is dit echt zo bijzonder? Ik meen me te herinneren dat Mercedes dit met Sky deed, Aston Martin ook een fiets heeft uitgebracht met een fietsmerk en Mclaren en Red Bull in t verleden ook carbon technologie hebben gedeeld met fietsmerken.

    Begrijp soms alleen niet wat er nu nog aan een fiets te verbeteren kan zijn... ze wegen al niks, zijn zo stijf als maar kan en de fietshouding van de fietser is nog steeds de grootste aero beperking.
