Alpine breekt als eerste team curfew in Jeddah

Ook dit jaar mogen alle Formule 1-teams weer twee keer de zogenaamde curfew breken. Dat betekent dat de monteurs aan de wagen mogen blijven doorwerken als er de avondklok eigen al is ingegaan. In Saoedi-Arabië heeft het eerste team hier gebruik van gemaakt.

Uit de documenten van de FIA blijkt namelijk dat het team van Alpine afgelopen nacht hard heeft doorgewerkt. Jo Bauer, de Technical Delegate van de FIA, laat weten dat men bij de Franse renstal heeft gewerkt aan de wagens. Het is niet duidelijk aan welke wagen er is geklust en wat er precies is aangepast. Esteban Ocon en Pierre Gasly leken in de vrije trainingen zonder problemen rond te rijden.
