Alfa Romeo vervangt hoofdsponsor bij GP Australië om aan reclamewet te voldoen

Formule 1-team Alfa Romeo zal tijdens het aankomende raceweekend in Australië niet de naam van haar titelsponsor gaan dragen. Stake, een online gokplatform dat het gebruiken van cryptovaluta toestaat, mag volgens de wet- en regelgeving in Australië niet door de Zwitserse renstal gebruikt worden.

Bij de start van het Formule 1-seizoen van 2023 kwam het team van Alfa Romeo met een hele andere hoofdsponsor op de proppen. In plaats van net als voorgaande jaren het Poolse bedrijf Orlen te gebruiken, viel de keuze voor dit seizoen op online gokplatform Stake. Volgens ingewijden heeft de Zwitserse renstal vanwege haar nieuwe sponsor een recordbedrag binnengesleept, echter verloopt niet alles even vloeiend voor Alfa Romeo’s nieuwe partner.

De strenge Australische wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van advertenties heeft namelijk besloten dat Stake niet door Alfa Romeo gedragen mag worden, waardoor als gevolg de keuze op Kick Streaming gevallen is, meldt het bekende Twitteraccount @Decalspotters. Het livestreamplatform dat graag het gevecht met marktleider Twitch wil aangaan, is eind vorig jaar door Stake overgenomen. Dit betekent dat uiteindelijk, al is het via een omweg, er alsnog een afleiding van Alfa Romeo’s hoofdsponsor gebruikt zal worden.

  Laat mARlboro maar weer terugkomen als sponsor .
  Een peukie op zijn tijd geeft ook rust .
  
  De gevolgen van de reclames van McD , KFC ,Mora snacks e.d zijn dagelijks op straat te zien , en bij sommige mensen (kinderen) al op jonge leeftijd .
  
  Ik kan straks mijn pakkie shag alleen maar bij een speciaalzaak kopen .
  
  De belastingen op frituur(vet) mogen van mij evenredig gelijk gesteld worden aan drank en tabakswaren .
  
  Ik ben trouwens ook eigenlijk wel benieuwd hoeveel de coffeeshops aan belasting betalen voor hun koopwaar.

  Er is inderdaad zat zooi te koop. Mensen gaan heus niet opeens meer roken, zuipen, etc omdat hun favoriete F1-team met wat stickers rijdt. Sowieso is het bereik van F1 te klein.
  
  De champions league wordt ook gewoon gesponsord door Lay's en Heineken. Niet 0,0 zoals in de F1 en de uefa cup. En eigenlijk is dat ook gewoon een wassen neus, want het logo is waar het om gaat natuurlijk.
