Zhou toont speciaal helmdesign voor Grand Prix Australië

In navolging van Valtteri Bottas’ bijzondere helm voor de aankomende Grand Prix op Melbourne Park, heeft ook teamgenoot Zhou Guanyu een uniek design voor de race op zondag laten maken.

De Chinese Formule 1-coureur, die vorig jaar via het team van Alfa Romeo zijn Formule 1-debuut maakte, heeft voor de aankomende race op het Melboune Park Circuit de keuze gemaakt om net als teamgenoot Valtteri Bottas een speciale helm te dragen. De helm van de 23-jarige coureur uit Shanghai heeft een zwartkleurige achtergrond, met daarop verschillende neon gele lijnen geverfd.

Net zoals bij die van Bottas, komen er ook bij Zhou's helm verschillende Australische karakteristieken terug. Ook op zijn helm komen een aantal onderdelen van inheemse kunst terug, met als toevoeging een typisch Australisch verkeersbord waar een kangoeroe op staat.

Naar verwachting zal het niet alleen bij deze twee helmdesigns blijven; Formule 1-rookie Oscar Piastri zal naar alle waarschijnlijkheid ook een speciale helm laten ontwerpen. De McLaren-coureur heeft aankomend weekend zijn allereerste thuis-Grand Prix op de planning staan.
