Stewards wijzen protest van Haas af

Na uren van overleg hebben de stewards een beslissing genomen over het protest van Haas tegen de uitslag van de Australische Grand Prix. De stewards hebben de argumenten van Haas tot in de details bekeken en hebben besloten om geen actie te ondernemen, het protest is dan ook afgewezen.

Haas was van mening dat de wedstrijdleiding de uitslag van de Australische Grand Prix verkeerd had bepaald. De wedstrijdleiding koos er immers voor om de stand van de herstart exclusief de uitvallers te hanteren als uitslag. Haas was van mening dat de uitslag de volgorde na de rode vlag was. Nico Hülkenberg zou in dat geval vierde zijn in plaats van zevende, de stewards wijzen dit dus nu af.

Als de laatste ronde niet was gereden hadden ze gelijk, nu, helaas voor hen, die wel gereden is hebben ze geen poot om op te staan. Nadeel is dat de wedstrijdleiding er een potje van heeft gemaakt aan het einde van de race en daar is o.a. Haas de dupe van.
