Williams trekt UFC-kopstuk aan voor marketingzaken

Het team van Williams heeft in de afgelopen maanden een flinke reorganisatie doorgevoerd. Veel kopstukken zijn vertrokken en vervangen, zo vertrok Jost Capito en is James Vowles tegenwoordig de teambaas. Ook aan de commerciële kant van het team is er veel veranderd, Williams heeft namelijk een nieuwe Chief Revenue Officer aangesteld.

Paul Asencio zal vanaf 10 april beginnen bij het team van Williams. In zijn rol als Chief Revenue Officer zal Asencio verantwoordelijk zijn voor de commerciële en marketingtakken van het Britse team. De nieuwe Chief Revenue Officer van Williams maakt een opmerkelijke carrièreswitch, tot voorkort was hij namelijk nog werkzaam bij MMA-organisatie UFC. Daar was hij de Senior Vice President van de Global Partnerships-tak. Daarvoor was Asencio onder meer werkzaam in de MLB.
