Mazepin hoopt op comeback en zet juridische stappen in Canada

Nikita Mazepin heeft zijn droom van een comeback in de Formule 1 nog niet uit zijn hoofd gezet. De Russische coureur werd na het uitbreken van de oorlog in Oekraïne ontslagen door het team van Haas. Sindsdien aast hij op een comeback en vecht hij meerdere zaken uit in de rechtbank. Ook in Canada onderneemt hij nu juridische stappen.

Mazepin werd in 2022 ontslagen door het team van Haas. Aangezien hij weigerde om een speciaal document van de FIA te ondertekenen, kon hij in 2022 niet in actie komen in veel kampioenschappen. Eerder dit jaar maakte Mazepin zijn comeback en reed hij in de European Le Mans Series. Hij blijft echter jagen op een zitje in de koningsklasse van de autosport en stapt daarom naar de rechter.

Mazepin en zijn vader Dmitry zijn na het uitbreken van de oorlog op veel sanctielijsten geplaatst. De Mazepins waren het hiermee oneens en Nikita won eerder al een zaak in de Europese Unie. Volgens CTV News onderneemt Mazepin nu ook juridische stappen in Canada. Mazepin staat op een Canadese sanctielijst en kan dan ook niet racen in het land. Volgens de Russische coureur schaden de sancties zijn loopbaan ten onrechte. Hij wil dan ook van de sanctielijst worden verwijderd en stapt daarom naar de rechter.

Mazepin terug in de F1 als coureur? Alleen als papa heeel veeel geld neerlegt voor een zitje bij bijvoorbeeld Williams. Maar eigenlijk zie ik het gewoon niet meer gebeuren

Papa Mazepin zou eens met Poetin een biertje moeten drinken, waar ie nou eigenlijk mee bezig is en dat ie alles en iedereen er mee schaadt. Tot en met de carrière van zijn zoon aan toe.

  Ja, als pa Mazepin kritische vragen gaat stellen aan Poetin, is hij de eerstvolgende die een ongelukkige val maakt van een balkon.
  Ik heb zomaar het idee dat de beste man daar niet zo veel trek in heeft.

Uit de tekst valt niet te halen dat hij deze rechtzaak aanspant met de hoop terug in de f1 te komen. Alleen dat hij de rechtzaak aanspant om van de sanctielijst te komen, en daardoor weer zou kunnen racen
