FIA bevestigt 'voorstelrondje' en bijzonder volkslied in Miami

Vorige week werd al duidelijk dat men in Miami een speciale ceremonie gaat organiseren om de coureurs voor te stellen voorafgaand de Grand Prix. Twee weken geleden werd het sportieve reglement al aangepast om organisatoren meer tijd te geven om iets te organiseren op de grid.

De pitlane gaat sinds de Grand Prix van Azerbeidzjan niet 40, maar 50 minuten voor de racestart open. De FIA gaf al aan dat dit wordt gedaan om de organisatoren meer ruimte te geven. Uit het pre-race document van de FIA blijkt dat men hier gebruik van gaat maken in Miami. De coureurs moeten zich in groepjes melden waarna ze op een nog onbekende wijze aan het publiek worden voorgesteld. Uit het document blijkt ook dat een 'celebrity' het volkslied gaat aankondigen. Naar verluid gaat het hier om LL Cool J.

      @Larry dat gebeurt eigenlijk overal wel op de één of andere manier. Vorig jaar Zandvoort werden ze rondgereden en voorgesteld in oude politie Porsches.

      @Snarf058, dat bedoelen ze hier kennelijk niet.
      Dat is namelijk iets wat ze al eeuwen doen.
      Meestal gewoon achterop een trailer van een vrachtwagen, soms in een oldtimer, en in Zandvoort dus in een Porsche.

    In ieder geval kan de vertolking van het Amerikaanse volkslied nooit slechter worden dan voorafgaand aan de ChampCar race op Assen in 2007.
