Tsunoda vraagt om steun voor slachtoffers: "Alle hulp wordt gewaardeerd"

Het afblazen van de Grand Prix van Emilia-Romagna kwam gisteren hard aan bij de teams en coureurs. De race op het circuit van Imola kan niet doorgaan vanwege de hevige overstromingen in het gebied. AlphaTauri-coureur Yuki Tsunoda leeft mee met de slachtoffers en hij roept om hulp voor de getroffenen.

Het team van AlphaTauri wordt geraakt door de overstromingen. De renstal is gevestigd in Faenza in de regio Emilia-Romagna. De plaats is zwaar getroffen door de hevige neerslag en veel straten van de stad staan dan ook vol met water. Het team liet eerder al weten dat de fabriek niet beschadigd is geraakt en dat er hard wordt gewerkt om de medewerkers en hun familie in veiligheid te brengen.

Yuki Tsunoda woont in Italië en ziet wat voor een ravage de overstromingen veroorzaken. De Japanner spreekt op sociale media zijn steun uit en doet daarnaast nog meer. In een emotionele post deelt hij de donatiepagina en spreekt hij zich uit: "Na een zware nacht is de stad zwaar getroffen. Overal ligt stof en modder en er hangt ook een benzinegeur. Momenteel hebben mensen het moeilijk met het vinden van eten en ze hebben het vooral zwaar met het vinden van onderdak. Veel van hen moesten hun huizen verlaten. Alles wat je kunt doen om te helpen wordt enorm gewaardeerd."

Mooie actie van Yuki.
Die beelden die we gezien hebben op tv zijn schrikbarend en die mensen zitten daar zwaar in de shit....dus hierbij roep ik ook op naast Yuki om iets (financieel) te doen....als de mogelijkheid daar is natuurlijk.

  Yuki woont in Faenza en heeft het dus bewust allemaal van heel dichtbij meegemaakt en dat heeft hem erg aangegrepen. Gelukkig woont hij zelf in het gedeelte dat vrij hoog ligt, maar heel veel van zijn collega's die in de fabriek werken, wonen in het lage gedeelte en die zijn (met hun gezinnen) allemaal geëvacueerd naar de fabriek. Dat greep hem erg aan.

  Die beelden doen me denken aan de beelden van 1953 hier in Zuidwest- Nederland......je bent gewoon bijna alles kwijt in de getroffen gebieden.
