Sainz raakt geblesseerd bij benefietwedstrijd Monaco, precieze toedracht onbekend

Eerder vandaag waren Formule 1-rijders Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz uitgenodigd om een benefietwedstrijd in Monaco te spelen. Voor de laatstgenoemde coureur liep de wedstrijd echter niet al te best af, want de Spanjaard was genoodzaakt om de wedstrijd vanwege een blessure vroegtijdig te staken. Wat de precieze toedracht van zijn blessure is, is momenteel nog onbekend. Ook is het nog niet duidelijk of het aanstaande Grand Prix-weekend in Monaco voor Sainz in gevaar komt.

Aankomend weekend staat de Grand Prix van Monaco op het programma, en ook dit jaar werd er een voetbalwedstrijd gehouden om een aantal goede doelen te steunen. Dit jaar waren onder andere Formule 1-sterren Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz in Monaco aanwezig om de benefietwedstrijd te spelen, waar ook F1-CEO Stefano Domenicali en tennislegende Novak Djokovic op de deelnemerslijst stonden.

Dat de mannen het naar hun zin zouden hebben, werd niet over getwijfeld. Wel leken beide Ferrari-coureurs Leclerc en Sainz nogal te stuntelen, waarbij de Monegask op de foto werd gezet terwijl hij op klungelige wijze richting de grasmat dook, en waar Sainz de wedstrijd vroegtijdig moest staken omdat hij waarschijnlijk geblesseerd zou zijn geraakt. Na zijn opgelopen blessure werd de Spanjaard in de dug-out voor zijn pijntjes behandeld. Momenteel is het nog niet duidelijk hoe serieus Sainz geblesseerd is, en of zijn deelname aan de Monaco Grand Prix dit aankomend weekend in gevaar komt.

Gelukkig is het geen blessure aan Carlos zijn middelste been, al zal de bull de komende dagen heus nog wel wat gevoelig en stijfjes aanvoelen.

Als je bijvoorbaat al weet dat je niet kan voetballen neem de rol van waterdrager ipv te gaan stuntelen op het veld met het gevolg blessure. Ferrari heeft al genoeg problemen om op te lossen.

Een beetje voetballer rolt eerst het hele veld over van de pijn om vervolgens na het uitdelen van een gele kaart aan de tegenstander weer als een jong hertje over het veld te dartelen.
Ik hoop voor Carlos dat hij inmiddels ook weer rond dartelt.
