Haas trekt Amerikaanse gigant aan als nieuwe sponsor

Het team van Haas heeft een grote nieuwe sponsor binnengehaald. De Amerikaanse renstal slaat hiermee een grote slag in het seizoen waarin de Grand Prix van Las Vegas terugkeert op de kalender van de Formule 1. Haas heeft namelijk een deal gesloten met MGM Resorts International.

De logo's van MGM Resorts zullen tijdens het huidige raceweekend in Monaco en in Singapore, Austin en Las Vegas zichtbaar zijn op het stuur van de wagens van Nico Hülkenberg en Kevin Magnussen. Haas zal samen met de nieuwe sponsor ook voor een aantal exclusieve activiteiten voor fans gaan zorgen tijdens het raceweekend in Las Vegas. MGM heeft dan ook een reusachtig hotel in de gokstad waar de Formule 1 dit jaar terugkeert.

    Mooi voor vooral Gene Haas dat hij eindelijk wat verlichting van de lasten krijgt , het budget ging grotendeels uit zijn persoonlijke zak voor jarenlang .. op termijn hakt dat er wel in

    Ik zit soms weleens te bashen op Haas voor hun ontwikkelingprogramma waarbij zo weinig door henzelf gedaan wordt...

    Maar ik vind t een leuk team en gun ze dit soort deals wel. Het is een beetje het lelijke eendje van F1 zonder overwinningen, podia's, maar ze doen mee, lijken stabiel onder de cap en durven met strategie soms wel iets anders te proberen.

    Haas is alleen geen "klein lelijk zelfstandig eendje" zoals Manor of vroeger Minardi... dus ik blijf ze bashen voor de veel te vele opdrachten die ze uitbesteden aan Dallara of overkopen van Ferrari.

    Ik ken MGM Resorts niet, maar MGM natuurlijk wel als het filmproductiebedrijf Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
    En dat is een grote naam, inderdaad.
    Hopelijk biedt dit meer stabiliteit voor het team en minder kopzorgen voor Gene Haas. :-)
