Hamilton beboet tijdens derde vrije training

Lewis Hamilton kende een zeer teleurstellende derde vrije training in de straten van Monaco. De Brit keerde immers met de benenwagen terug in de pits, in plaats van in zijn wagen. Hamilton crashte en beschadigde zijn Mercedes. Hij kreeg daarnaast ook een fikse boete van de FIA.

In Monaco geldt namelijk een maximum snelheid van zestig kilometer per uur in de pitlane. De stewards kijkt streng naar mogelijke overtredingen, de pitlane is immers zeer krap. Hamilton reed tijdens de derde vrije training met een snelheid van 65,5 kilometer per uur door de pitlane heen. De Brit kreeg dan ook een boete van de stewards, hij moet 600 euro gaan betalen. Zijn teamgenoot George Russell werd eerder dit weekend ook beboet.

    Gewoon limiter aanzetten. Hoe fucking moeilijk is het. Minder ernstig dan Tsunoda, maar een geringe overschrijding is nog steeds een overschrijding.

      Ik begrijp ook niet dat het nog relatief vaak gebeurt.
      En al helemaal niet in de training waar je niet zoveel ‘haast’ hebt als in de race.

    Als je weet dat de straf voor te hard rijden in de pitstraat alleen een geldboete is.
    Kan je overwegen om tijdens de race harder door de pitstraat te rijden als dat de plek waar je terugkomt op de baan beïnvloed.

    Een fikse boete……€600. We hebben het niet over Jan modaal en kijkend naar het vermogen van Hamilton had dit ook het twintigvoudige mogen zijn, maar ook dat merkt hij niet.
