Ford-topman: Werkrelatie met Red Bull groeit 'sneller dan gedacht'

2026, het jaar waarin de Formule 1 nieuwe motorreglementen zal gaan introduceren, is nog ver weg, maar volgens Ford-topman Mark Rushbrook verloopt de werkrelatie met Red Bull nu al uitstekend. Rushbrook, de eindverantwoordelijke voor de sportieve prestaties van het Amerikaanse automerk, meent dat het partnerschap nu al ontzettend goed op gang begint te komen. 

Eerder dit seizoen kondigde het Formule 1-team van Red Bull aan dat het vanaf 2026 met de Amerikaanse automobielgigant gaat samenwerken. Dit bijzondere nieuws is inmiddels al een paar maanden oud, en nu weet Mark Rushbrook, topman bij Ford, te delen dat de samenwerking met Red Bull voorspoedig verloopt.  

"Ik durf te zeggen dat de relatie (met Red Bull) al sneller groeit dan we oorspronkelijk verwacht hadden. Het partnerschap verloopt zeer goed, en we maken al een zeer goede progressie. Wat ons betreft is bij wijze van spreken morgen al 2026, dus we zijn druk bezig om de samenwerking te verstevigen", meldt Rushbrook.

      Ja zo ook Max want die heeft ook al gezegd het jammer te vinden met als toevoeging, het is een goede motor
      Ik vind het ook zeer spijtig maar het is wat het is.

      Red Bull zelf ook , maar als je in de top wil blijven acteren moet je snel schakelen bij veranderingen (het stoppen van Honda) en heeft men zelf een motorenlijn opgezet.

      Kan niet, want ze hadden al geïnvesteerd in RBPT en Honda is niet geïnteresseerd in RB een flink deel te laten doen. Ze willen liever alles zelf doen en dan in de anonimiteit achter Aston Martin daar het geld aan uitgeven.

    Het was in de zomer van 1974 toen ik voor de eerste keer vrouwelijke genitaliën in het echt zag bij 'n meisje.....en verdomd "hij" groeide sneller dan gedacht.
    Het was 'n vreemde gewaarwording dat dat zo snel ging, dus ik ging er 'n meter vandaan staan....ik wist natuurlijk niet hoe lang "hij" zou worden.....maar gelukkig kon ik steeds dichterbij komen......en nog 'n stukkie dichterbij en toen ik er tegenaan stond (nog niet eens erin) kwam er 'n stoot hete lava vrij en kon ik met opgetrokken hoofd recht om keer maken om tegen mijn vrienden vertellen wat me overkomen was.

    Gefeliciteerd 'jonge blije' (toen heette ik nog zo), je bent nu 'n man geworden.

      Ik moet er wèl bij zeggen dat ik meer in het verleden zit als in de tegenwoordige tijd.....heeft iets met "vergeetachtigheid" te maken.

      Echt waar? Bij een meisje? Ik had jou eigenlijk eerder ingeschat als een soort Dustin Hofmann zoals in de Graduate; eerst ruimschoots oefenen op oude fietsen @Ouw.
