Formule 2 en Formule 3 vinden geen vervanger voor Imola

Het aflassen van de Grand Prix van Emilia-Romagna had niet alleen gevolgen voor de Formule 1, maar ook voor de opstapklassen. Het raceweekend op het circuit van Imola werd afgelast vanwege de hevige neerslag in de regio. Ook de Formule 2 en de Formule 3 gingen niet door, men zoekt geen vervanger voor het weekend in Imola.

Het was eigenlijk de bedoeling dat de Formule 2 en de Formule 3 in Imola in actie zouden komen in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1. Het race weekend werd afgelast en officieel gezien zoekt de Formule 1 nog naar een vervangende datum. De Formule 2 en de Formule 3 hebben die zoektocht inmiddels opgegeven. CEO Bruno Michel laat weten dat er naar meerdere opties is gekeken, maar dat er geen vervangend weekend kon worden gevonden.
